Drug Gang Radio Busted

Balthazard Senat

FCC officials and deputies from Orlando, Florida’s drug gang unit have arrested two men for allegedly running a pirate radio station that told where to buy drugs and prostitutes, and ran ads from local gangs.

20-year-old Balthazard Senat and Christopher Robert Roth had illegally tapped into 91.3 FM to broadcast their own “Street Heat” program from Senat’s bedroom. The obscenity-laden show was heard throughout Florida’s Orange County for about three months.

“There are no sentences in this stuff that they’re putting out that didn’t have vulgar language, didn’t have some demeaning language towards women, towards people,” said Sgt. Mike Gibson.

A listener reported the pirate radio broadcast to the FCC, who in turn got Florida’s drug gang unit involved. Police triangulated the signal to a cable and antenna in a tree leading right into Senat’s home. Inside, Senat and Roth were smoking marijuana while broadcasting.

Both Senat and Roth were arrested and charged with unauthorized transmission and possession with the intent to deliver marijuana.

Transmitting on 91.3 FM in Florida, a great way to get the FCC to notice you. Stupid idiots. The FCC rarely does any pirate bust outside NYC area or Florida.

Going by the details of their antenna, they probably were only transmitting at a few watts if even that much.
