Take my family, Please: The Guerra Family
A recently-laid off Austin, Texas man has put his family up on E-Bay so that he can pay the bills in these tough economic times.
Loren Guerra hopes his all-American family can be used as “brand ambassadors” and has opened bidding at US $50,000. However, demand for their services might also be affected by the economy, as the current bid is only US$9,000.
Guerra told CBS News that his family will not anything that is not “family oriented or anti-family values”, including endorsing alcohol, tobacco, gambling or the adult entertainment industry. “We won’t touch anything like that,” he said.
Wife Katina said her husband is “kinda crazy” but then agreed with the scheme, adding, “you’ve gotta do crazy things, come up with creative ideas, and this seemed like a great opportunity and seemed like something we could do as a family”.
