Broadcasting legend Paul Harvey has passed away at the age of 90.
Harvey had Americans tuning in for decades with his trademark “Hello Americans! This is Paul Harvey. Stand by! For news!” and kept them enthralled, always wanting to hear “the rest of the story”.
A spokesman for ABC Radio Network told the Associated Press that Mr. Harvey died at his winter home, surrounded by family. No cause of death was immediately available.
In memory of The Great Paul Harvey, here’s a clip from his show:

One of the greats. Good day Paul…
I always listened to him whenever I could. He was the Son of a Tulsa, Oklahoma policeman killed in the line of duty. I met him in Wash DC during Police week a years ago. His hands when big and his hand shake genuine. He exuded warmth and friendliness.I felt he was a true gentleman. I loved listening to him and you could hear his smile in his voice.
The radio won't be the same without him, the death of his wife recently must have hit him hard, he was on far less often than he used to be., and recently you could hear the tiredness in his broadcasts.
So Sad. Go in peace, dear Paul. Now you know the ‘rest of the story.’
