Toy Lets You Smash Bernie Madoff

A new toy has been made in the likeness of Ponzi-schemer Bernie Madoff that allows you to take your frustrations out on what has become the symbol of everything that is wrong with the modern way of doing economics.

“Smash Me Bernie” depicts Madoff dressed like Satan, complete with pitchfork, and comes complete with a hammer to let your feelings out. Sickle is not included.

Phoenix-based model maker ModelWorks unveiled the piece of zeitgesit kitsch at this week’s Toy Fair in New York City. The Madoff characture is part of a Mini-Me figures line, which customizes models to looks like whatever the buyer wants.
