Col. Muammar Gaddafi
An a closed-door session of the African Union summit in Ethiopia, Libyan president Col. Muammar Gaddafi has been elected to run the 53-nation alliance.
Gadaffi was seen as “the obvious choice,” reports the BBC, but some delegates still have reservations on the selection. Before arriving to the summit, Gaddafi reportedly circulated a letter to dignitaries saying he was coming as “the king of the traditional kings of Africa” and he wanted to be seated as “the king of kings”.
Libya has proposed a “United States of America” which the summit debated on Sunday. Gaddafi has previously outlined his vision for African unity, which includes a single African military force, a single currency and a single passport for Africans to move within the continent.
The summit agreed Sunday to transform the overseeing African Union Commission into an AU Authority that would have a broader mandate, the Tanzanian president, Jakaya Kikwete said.
“In principle, we said the ultimate is the United States of Africa. How we proceed to that ultimate – there are building blocks,” Kikwete said.

United States of Africa would be cool! Some trans-national political parties would be great! Cutting down on the administrative and economic problems posed by inter-state tariffs, better freedom of movement, broader institutions for dealing with shared security and health problems. Sounds like progress. Could it all melt down and turn into something worse than they have now? Sure. Must it? I don’t see why.

With Zuma you see dangling testicles as he dances around in his animal skins.
Just look at that uniform! Gaddafi looks like he has participated in every military campaign in history.
Gaddafi Duck! A real looney tunes! His perfect for the Dark Continent. He will rule a land of ignorance, poverty, and savagery where the modern world doesn’t intrude. What is conviently forgotten is that in Libya about ten years ago, there were riots against black who came in illegally. They were lynched! Where is the NAACP? TransAfrika? And all of the usual suspects? How come the ministry of lies doesn’t mention this ?
How ironic that Black Afrikkka picks a descendant of slave masters to be their “king.” The Arabs raided sub-Sahara and enslaved millions. And Libya invaded Chad and killed thousands. But no one ever talks about Arab “reparations” to Afrikkkans. Let them choke on Qaddafi. They’re all a bunch of dictators; both north of the Sahara, and sub-Sahara.
