Red-Green Socialists Take Over Iceland

An interim government consisting of the center-left Social Democrat Alliance Party and the Socialist Left Green Movement will govern Iceland until general elections can be held this May.

Johanna Sigurdardottir

Iceland’s ruling coalition of the center-right Independence Party and SDA collapsed yesterday amid growing protests over an implosion of the country’s banks and stock market. Another political party, the Progressives, and possibly people from outside Parliament will also assist with the caretaker government.

Social Affairs Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir of the SDA is expected to lead the new government. Sigurdardottir has a long history of liberal politics and has an approval rating of nearly 75%. As an openly-out lesbian, she would be the first gay Prime Minister in the world.

SDA leader Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir and LGM leader Steingrimur Johann Sigfusson now begin putting together a government that emphasises helping Icelandic households out of the current economic catastrophe.

With these two buffoons, Iceland is going from the frying pan into the fire, the people are angry and upset with the collapse but they better beware of a liberal and a lesbian, that’s a recipe for greater disaster. These two socialists are going to take Iceland into the EU which is the New World Order, they will no longer be a sovereign nation .
