Conservative talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh responded to Barack Obama‘s haughty assault against people who listen to his show.
“There are two things going on here”, Limbaugh told National Review. “One prong of the Great Unifier’s plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me. And who knows? Are ideological and philosophical ties enough to keep the GOP loyal to their voters? Meanwhile, the effort to foist all blame for this mess on the private sector continues unabated when most of the blame for this current debacle can be laid at the feet of the Congress and a couple of former presidents. And there is a strategic reason for this.”
Limbaugh continued:
“Secondly, here is a combo quote from the meeting: “If we don’t get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can’t let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That’s how things don’t get done in this town.”
To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective. Obama’s plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR’s New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing “eternal” power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.
Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn’t Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn’t they have to buy the new furnishings? What’s the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet’s office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs. Are we really at the point where the bad PR of Merrill getting a redecorated office in the process is reason to smear them? How much money will the Obamas spend redecorating the White House residence? Whose money will be spent? I have no problem with the Obamas redoing the place. It is tradition. 600 private jets flown by rich Democrats flew into the Inauguration. That’s fine but the auto execs using theirs is a crime? In both instances, the people on those jets arrived in Washington wanting something from Washington, not just good will.
If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion dollar debacle.
One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama’s ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals:
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”"

As usual Rush tells it like it is. The boma administration has shown it is very cold and calculating. Though we can see through their lies and tactics if we are honest with ourselves and do not allow ourselves to be deluded with lies, half-truths and fabricated facts. We must elect officials, republican or democrat who are truth sayers and not smoke blowers like the ones we have in congress now.
Seems Rush is the only high-profile Republican left out there!

I couldn't agree more. HumanNouv seems to think conservatives are ignorant and cannot think, cannot reason, are not good enough to converse with. I don't listen to Limbaugh much, but it isn't because I disagree with him, it's just that I am usually busy doing something. He makes more sense than any politician I've known or heard of. I agree that Hussein understands it clearly, it being what it takes to slide over this debacle. People are ill-served when they worship Hussein because he says what their greed and ignorance require and demand.
I would love honest debates, but am realistic enough to realize there will never be one, so don't hope for it. The reason there will never be one is that there is no such thing as an honest Democrat politician. There are lying ones, stupid ones, crooked ones, but NOT any honest one. They want full power and will do ANYTHING to have it. To be fair, there aren't a lot of honest Republican politicians either. Don't you see that our politicians are NOT on your side, nor are they on my side. Don't you get it? We, the people, have no representation in DC, and now that Hussein is in office, we will have less. There was once a famous tea party held in Boston because of having no representation – seems to me it's about time for another party. I am no scientist, no brain surgeon, no architect, but I have a pretty good nose, and my nose tells me that everything in Washington, DC is ROTTEN to the core.
WTF, at least El Rushbo is constitutionally qualified to be President!
Fact is, Limbaugh is no genius. So just think how insecure this Foreign Occupier in the White House and his White Slave Emanuel are and the rest of the so called leftist "intellectuals" are! They know that they're frauds and manipulators of the serfs and that they can be exposed for the vacuous nothings that they are. If they silence Rush, they'll go after EVERYONE eventually.
I doubt President Obama cares one whit about a worm like Limbaugh. He used his name to tweak the GOP, but he’s far too smart to get into a tit-for-tat with that drug-addled pedophile.
It is going to be fun watching Rush’s escalating tantrums as he becomes more and more irrelevant.

Just what Limbaugh, Hannity and wingnut Republicans have been doing for years. Facts and logic don’t fit in their formula.
I remember feeling very proud of myself when I was in college and first learned about the long list of well defined logical fallacies. Full of that fresh knowledge, I had turned on Rush Limbaugh and immediately heard him utter a fallacious argument, and I could name the fallacy. Woah. Was I smart. Then I heard another, and another. Pretty soon I realized, to my disappointment, that I was fishing for fallacies in a bucket.
I think President Obama understands it clearly, even if he’s stating it a little bluntly. People are ill-served when they tune into Limbaugh only so they can have their political ignorance validated by this self-appointed authority.
Time for challenging and uncomfortable debates in America. The rules of these debates need to first and foremost dismiss fallacious argument and insist on solid reasoning based in scientific theory and credible data.
Rush is the last man standing (Coulter even seems to be dipping in the kool-aid). He’s going to be the only one with big enough balls to stand up to the messiah.
Limbaugh’s analysis is spot on. The fact is that Obama is working to silence opposition rather than unify. I guess you can unify when you don’t have any opposition, so he’s strategy is to delegitimize those that argue against him and eliminate those who won’t sit down and shut up. Limbaugh is public enemy number one if you’re trying to eliminate rather than discuss an issue.
He’s right. Obama did this to Hannity during the primaries, and now he’s doing just what Bill Clinton did — attack someone outside of the system in the hopes of distracting people to get his agenda rammed through. It’s so transparent. It’s so simple that only idiots would be snookered by it. Put another way, justify government control of the economy. The Democrats aren’t able to make a good case for that (because no good case can be made). All they have left are subterfuge and distraction.
My response to tasine’s ironically fallacy-filled response to HumanNouv (my comments preceeded with “>”):
I couldn’t agree more. HumanNouv seems to think conservatives are ignorant and cannot think, cannot reason, are not good enough to converse with.
> HumanNouv made no such claim. You are misrepresenting the opponent’s claim, which is the straw man argument fallacy
… I agree that Hussein understands it clearly, it being what it takes to slide over this debacle. People are ill-served when they worship Hussein because he says what their greed and ignorance require and demand.
> Here are you making a not-so-subtle ad hominem attack by using the president’s middle name, which happens to be Hussein. What if your middle name was Hitler? Would that affect how we react to your views and actions? Maybe you would think so, but such an attitude is ridiculous. Also, you say that people “worship” hussein which presumably is to get a reaction from religous readers. You say that he says what their greed and ignorance require and demand. You give no evidence that this is why he says what he does. Assume for a moment that he does… you give no evidence why people would be ill-served by this. You don’t even mention the specific things he says that you have issue with. Your “argument” is empty hyperbole. This could also be considered “Appeal to Gallery”
I would love honest debates, but am realistic enough to realize there will never be one, so don’t hope for it.
> There are honest debates all the time. They are very possible. Maybe if you learn about logical fallacies and how to make a rational argument, you could even be in one someday. Here is a list of fallacies you can read up on:

The reason there will never be one is that there is no such thing as an honest Democrat politician. There are lying ones, stupid ones, crooked ones, but NOT any honest one. Don’t you see that our politicians are NOT on your side, nor are they on my side.
> Here it seems like you are making the fallacy “property in the whole”, but not explicitly. I think that we can find evidence of lying, corrupt, politicians in every political party that has ever existed. The democrats have no monopoly on this. Even if you could show that more of them were lying, or corrupt, or whatever, that would still not show that any other individual in the group has those characterisitics. Furthermore, this would not provide any evidence that their opinions or actions related to public policy are invalid.
Don’t you get it? We, the people, have no representation in DC, and now that Hussein is in office, we will have less. There was once a famous tea party held in Boston because of having no representation – seems to me it’s about time for another party.
> Obama was elected by the majority of voters. He won the popular vote, unlike Bush in 2000. There was a much better case to be made that Bush did not represent the majority of the country after the election of 2000.
I am no scientist, no brain surgeon, no architect,
> Wow, thats a shocker.
but I have a pretty good nose, and my nose tells me that everything in Washington, DC is ROTTEN to the core.
> Your nose is irrelevant to this argument or any other rational discourse.
> You claim that you don’t listen to Limbaugh very often, but your comment makes it clear that your ability to have a rational debate is just as lacking.
Have you heard of the big oil strile in the northern tier of states? It is called the “Bakken” oil strike. My senator, Kay Baily Hutchison verified the oil strike..Nothing is being done about it. Send me your e-mail address and I will send you the information.
Seems there is a lot of knuckle draggers on here that are to stupid to understand
loss of freedom. With the media whoring after Obama, and twisting facts to feed to the nose pickers ,it is astounding the lack of common sense.
Rush Limpballs has no idea’s. NOT ONE! He’s just a burnt out drug user spouting delusional unfactual fantasy farts.
He never debates because he tells so many lies that he could never remember what he said. Any body could beat him mentally or physically. Just a no nothing loaf of fat….propogandist for the rich. Pony boys don’t make good leaders! SO FOLLOW HIM OFF HIS CLIFF….YOU DESERVE HIM. JUST WISH YOU COULD HAVE YOUR OWN COUNTRY TO DESTROY AND NOT MINE! I REMEMBER THE LAST 8 YRS, AND I KNOW WHAT THEY DID NOT SAY WHILE WE CRASHED AND BURNT. I WILL NOT FORGIVE THEM OR FORGET …… AND ANYONE THEY ARE FOR …. I’M AGAINST!
