Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille has condemned South African ruling party ANC for “rewarding criminals” and “adopting a soft attitude for placing Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Tony Yengeni on the party’s election nomination lists.
Madikizela-Mandela, the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela, was found guilty on 43 counts of fraud and 25 of theft in 2003. Yengeni, a former member of the terrorist group Spear of the Nation, was found guilty of fraud in 2003 in a case related to the ongoing corruption case against ANC leader Jacob Zuma.
“[Madikizela-Mandela and Yengeni] were previously ANC members of parliament. Both abused their high office; both violated the trust placed in them by the public; and both have been rewarded for their malfeasance with another offer of high office,” Zille wrote in her weekly newsletter.
South African law forbids Madikizela-Mandela and Yengeni from becoming MPs due to their convictions. “Even so, the fact that Madikizela-Mandela and Yengeni made it onto the ANC’s nomination lists demonstrates an unacceptable level of tolerance for all that is dishonourable and disreputable in public life,” Zille wrote.
“In fact, their untrustworthiness is not so much tolerated as celebrated.”

Please supply a list of all thos within the ANC already found guilty of fraud or theft or any criminal charge. Would give an extremely good idea to the public of who are their leaders.
