A corrupt Democrat (sorry for the redundancy) and former Brooklyn Assemblywoman has finally begun serving a two- to six-year sentence for demanding a house from a developer in exchange for helping him get city-owned land in her district – some six months after being convicted.
Diane Gordon, 59, considered a “powerhouse” in her East New York assembly district, was caught on tape demanding a detached $500,000 home with lots of extras, including a “nice-sized bedroom,” for just $1 from developer Ranjan Batheja.
In one recording, Democrat Gordon tells Batheja, “One hand washes the other.” In another, she is heard saying, “I’ve been around long enough to know that if you want a dream to come true, you got to keep your mouth shut.” Batheja was working with prosecutors.
The Brooklyn Democrat was sentenced in June but a judge allowed her to remain free on $100,000 bail pending her appeal.
Her time ran out Wednesday and a frazzled-looking Gordon surrendered at 5:09, just six minutes before a judge was to issue an arrest warrant.
Her lawyer vowed to continue her appeal.

She was just kiddin'.
"It was just a 'boneheaded' mistake…" (BO's pat response.)
By the looks of her, she needs a tad more than a "nice-sized" bedroom…
She knows how to keep her mouth shut? I put it to you that the reason she needs a "nice-sized" bedroom is her complete inability to keep that piehole shut.
Or maybe she didn’t know? Ignorance of the law seems to be acceptable remedy nowadays. Well, at least for Democrats…
It’s the Blagojevich “Pay to Play” disease that is sweeping the country! LOL
She was watching the Jefferson's, and was moving on up to get a piece of the pie.
She'll cry "racism" which is the last refuge of a black scoundrel!
