In what may stop some liberals in their tracks, US president-elect Barack Obama has said he “always thought [outgoing US President Bush] was a good guy.”
“I mean, I think personally he is a good man who loves his family and loves his country,” Obama told CNN’s John King. Bush made “the best decisions that he could at times under some very difficult circumstances,” according to Obama.
Obama’s good words for Bush come as a “Huh?” moment for many conservatives as well, who remember how the Democrat blasted Bush for his “failed polices” while on the campaign trail.
Obama seemed to separate Bush the man from Bush to politician during the interview. “If you look at my statements throughout the campaign, I always thought he was a good guy,” he said. The President-elect told ABC in early January that he does not believe “that anybody is above the law” when questioned if he there would be prosecutions against Bush Administration officials for so-called “war crimes“.

The question is not IF there will be an interdiction of Obama’s Presidency by the Supreme Court, the questions are WHEN and HOW that interdiction will transpire — that is, if the USA is to continue as the Constitutional Republic that now exists.
