I guess the people posting their comments about big thumbs up ,way to go Gwt I guess ALL your family tree ends back to US! Yeah right !!!!!!!!!The bible states that we all are brothers and sisters so WHO are we to judge who is to live here and who is to go? The bible also states that we will all end up in the same place sooner or later.The way we judge people we will be judge.
And for the people dont know most of the latinos in Gwt most are from Peru which is different country, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina
I am an American that pays too much taxes.I have lived here in Gwt Co. I can not say that crime went up due to mexicans here.NO WAY ! We are that done something we shouldnt have done at one point in our lifes.
As a business owner I would see black and white trying also to get gov benfits Or wouldnt want to work for $7.75 .
We are the same plz dont look at others in a way we wouldnt want to be looked at.

What i don’t understand is when did everyone become so damn racist. The only thiing the hispanics do is try to make their lives better for them and their families. If you haven’t noticed their the ones that do the jobs that no one wants to do or can handle. hispanics are beng treated like trash and all you people have to say is that their taking away your jobs. If you people were such good worker they wouldn’t have to give your jobs to people who do them better. You people bitch to much. I live in Gwinnett County and have had to watch the crime skyrocket in the past decade as illegal immigration has skyrocketed. The area was becoming a hub for drug activity, prostitution, and other crimes. All while neighborhoods were being destroyed when multiple families moved into a single home and then trashed the yards forcing others away. Gwinnett County was once one of the nicest counties in the state but is fast becoming one of the worst.
Gwinnett is open to legal immigration and has many legal people that follow the law and are trying to live good lives. Illegal immigration has only hurt Gwinnett and must be stopped before the entire county is left in ruins.
If you saw your home being destroyed you would change your tune too. It’s easy for outsiders to judge until they see their property values decrease and have to worry about the safety of their family.

What next, Mayor Bloomberg deciding that maybe the golf courses in New York could be maintained by Americans afterall, and won’t go brown if illegal aliens are deported. I hope in didn’t strain the humanity of Georgian beurocrats too muchk having to deport felons and others away from the honest taxpaying citizens. They’ll get over it, or be fired sooner or later. Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway has had to fight tooth and nail to get this far with the fight against illegals who commit crimes. You’d be surprised but it’s not ONLY the ACLU who has stood rock-solid in his path and tried to put up a brick wall. He knows he’s in a position to do the right thing and is doing it DESPITE opposition.

Notes from Ga on the effectivness of 287 g – ENFOREMENT WORKS!
Since Hall jailers became certified as ICE agents in April, the number of illegal immigrants booked into the Hall County Detention Center has been cut in half, according to Hall County Sheriff Steve Cronic…Once word spread through the community about the ICE program, illegal immigrants moved out of Hall County or grew more cautious about breaking the law, Cronic said.

Before joining the program, about 63 percent of the immigrants booked into the Hall County Detention Center were in the country illegally, he said.

Sheriff’s departments in three other counties in Georgia now participate in the program – Hall, Cobb and Whitfield – and Gwinnett County, which shares a border with Barrow, seems well on its way to becoming the fourth

The agents “will screen all inmates booked into the (jail) regardless of their claim to citizenship in order to identify and remove criminal aliens,” Conway said in a news release.

“This hopefully will bring us one step closer in getting the green light on that program and will give ICE an idea of the approximate numbers (of prisoners) they would be receiving from our jail,” Conway said.
