South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeal ruled Monday that prosecutors may continue their corruption case against ANC leader Jacob Zuma.
The case involving 16 charges of corruption, fraud and racketeering ended abruptly last September with High Court judge Chris Nicholson dramatically throwing the case out and reprimanding prosecutors for going on a politically-motivated “witch hunt” against Zuma. This resulted in President Thabo Mbeki to be forced from power and replaced with ANC deputy leader Kgalema Motlanthe only days later. A third of Mbeki’s cabinet resigned in protest, causing political unrest in the country. The split in the ANC caused a new political party to be formed, Congress of the People, of COPE.
Judge Louis Harms, the appeal court’s acting deputy president, read out the 39-page decision of the five-judge panel. The scathing decision of The High Court’s decision was “erroneous”, “unwarranted” and “incomprehensible”, according to Judge Harris, and may in fact have “overstepped the limits of its authority” when it criticized President Mbeki in its ruling.
ANC KwaZulu Natal leader Zweli Mkhize has said Zuma will be its presidential candidate in the upcoming general election, which must be held by mid-July, regardless of the court ruling. “There will be no change to Zuma. It is Zuma today, Zuma tomorrow and Zuma forever,” Mkhize told thousands at a rally in the ANC stronghold of Groutville.

Well, well, well…. looks like things will get very interesting in South Africa this year.
I know whites are always so worried about Zuma because he sings this song called "Get Me My Machine Gun" – but who is Zuma going to use the gun on? Whites? Or the other African tribe? Remember, Zuma is one tribe and Mbeki, his main political rival, is another tribe.
And if Zuma goes after Whites, will he go after the Boer? Zuma is a racial patriot so he should have a bit more respect for the Boer in that regard. Even though he's only got a 3rd grade education he must know South African history and understand that the Boer were victims of British Imperialism just as much as any black tribe.
