A grassroots organization claims mainstream media television networks are refusing to sell the group airtime so it can run a 60-second ad that questions US president-elect Barack Obama’s eligibility based on his “natural born” status.
The group, Faith2Action.org, claims that FOX, MSNBC, CNBC, CNN and other news outlets rejected the ad and gave no reason for the decision. “With the date for congressional approval (of the Electoral College today), we wanted them to have access to the facts,” said group founder and WND columnist Janet Porter. “Congress is sworn to uphold the Constitution.”
Democrat activist lawyer Philip J. Berg, who filed the original “natural born” lawsuit back in August, will have the Supreme Court decide the merits of his case on Friday.

These people have a false sense of worth. I realize everyone has the right to their own opinions, but this continued fruitless crusade does absolutely nothing to better society. To use an economics term: opportunity cost. With all the time they’ve spent devoted to this, they could have volunteered at a non-profit organization or done something to better their community.

I;m disgusted that people are so willing to bury their heads in the sand over the fact that this man is a Kenyan born Muslim. God only knows what this liberal, pro-abortion monster will try to do to the country.

This all proves that there is something wrong with our legal system. All actions need to go to a review panel. If they counsel that probability of success is less than perhaps 15-20%, then costs of the respondent would be assessible against the filer. There have been too many cases with this nonsense. BHO II/Jr. was born in HI, and is a natural born citizen (only other citizen options by law are naturalized or born abroad to US citizens – so by default, he is a Natural Born person/citizen — can’t get that through the heads of the theory proponents).
I’d love to call in my questions, and put Berg on the spot on “burden of proof”. Many are suggesting that he is quite capable. Perhaps. But was his Asst Atty Genl title more of a political appt, and what did he do, and when and under what conditions did he leave Pa employment?

However, there is case law (Wong Kim Ark) that states, ” At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country, of parents who were its citizens, became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further, and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction, without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case, it is not necessary to solve these doubts. It is sufficient, for everything we have now to consider, that all children, born of citizen parents within the jurisdiction, are themselves citizens.”
This is actually a quote from another SCOTUS case, Minor v. Happersett (1874).
Other official guidelines, such as the Foreign Affairs Manual, state, “It has never been determined definitively by a court whether a person who acquired U.S. citizenship by birth abroad to U.S. citizens is a naturalborn citizen within the meaning of Article II of the Constitution and, therefore, eligible for the Presidency.
In effect, just because Obama was born in HI, does not, in and of itself, mean he is a natural born citizen as required in Article 2 of the Constitution. There would be debate over this even if he had been born of two US citizen parents while abroad. SCOTUS has had plenty of chances now to put this matter to rest and they have taken the easy way out.
It is time our Congress LEARNS our Constitution and be MADE to abide by it. We have too much dirty politics and it should be stopped NOW! The only way Obama got into the office of President was due to the Media and the DNC. The DNC chose him, heaven only knows why, to be our next Pres.

Question for 2burmdad – If Saddam Hussein was proven to father a child by a woman in the United States and the child was born in the United States and Saddam Hussein was listed as the father of the child would the child be a natural born citizen of the United States?
This is why the natural born citizen rule was added to the Constitution so the United States would not have a person in the highest office of the land being dictated or under rule of a foreign country.
The President must have loyality to this Country to become commander and cheif and not have a Father being a leader of another country.

The Supreme Court must hear “We the People”. Another example of what could happen if the natural born citizen rule isn’t followed in OUR Constitution:
Prince Charles is able get an american woman pregnant and Prince Charles is next to become King of England. The child would be an american citizen if born in the United States by an american mother. This under the Obama plan would allow Prince Charles child to possibly become President of the United States at the same time he is King of England.
Is this really what our Supreme Court plans to potentionaly allow happen by denying “We the People” to be heard?

The constitution should be upheld in all circumstances. Don’t we as individuals have to obey the law in all circumstances or face the consequences. Our leaders should have verified Obama’s eligibility long ago. It is a shame that our leaders are unwilling to uphold our constitution and instead are possibly creating an new international crisis which will void our constitution. If placed in office and not eligible, then our country could split into a new smaller United States of American that upholds the constitution. All of those stupid states can be slaves of the new king Obama in their new empire. Obama’s birth certificate needs to be checked before we end up placing an Indonesian citizen as our president. This could be the crisis VP Biden talked about. It fits into the timeline. I don’t think Obama will be president for long. All of the laws he enacts during his short presidency will be void. Will we have to give back the stimulus money?
This is questionable that the media won’t let a commercial run. If it really is a bogus report, then they have nothing to fear. Don’t they want the money? It seems fishy that the media sources (controlled by large corporations) have been such big advocates of Obama. Our constitution needs to be upheld. Check his birth certificate not just a certificate of live birth, which is not the same thing.

Under the Obama plan if any of the above Fathered a child over 35 years ago and born as a USA citizen the child is eligible to become President of the United States.

Do we know anything about Obama’s father other than he was not a citizen of the usa at the time of Obamas birth? Obama admits his father was not a usa citizen.

I am all for president elect obama, if in fact he is who he says he is. Do you have to hide your college transcripts and birth certificate? I believe Obama’s books and life story are lies and that is what he’s covering up.
I much rather support the US Constitiution, expertly crafted by our forefathers, than support one man who cannot be open about his past. I don’t trust him- he lost my trust.
