New York City police investigating the brazen New Year’s Eve robbery of Midtown Manhattan Jeweler say it was probably an inside job.
Dialite Imports “was about six months behind on the rent and more than a million bucks in debt,” one source said. “On top of they recently got a new insurance policy.”
The robbers dressed like Hasidic Jews to get past security and then robbed the jeweler of more than US$4 million in rare stones. Detectives believe a member of the company “may have cut some kind of deal” with the robbers.

Could be that the Dealer himself set this up because I know first hand that in a building like this there are cameras everywhere, and that the dealer is not alone on that floor, there are many other dealers on the same floor and all have access to the cctv setup in the corridors, and to gain access to the actual office one needs to be identideid on the cctv and have appointments.
This is no jewellery store people, these are the big boys.
Maybe the owner lost allot of money on the market or via Madoff and this is an insurance claim to recoup some losses.
In a week or so we might find out the truth behind this.
The police are now saying that the owner did lose a lot of money, maybe Madoff ripped him off, maybe this is the jeweler who had all those jewels that Madoff mailed off to his relatives.
It's so funny, I was listening to Dr. Michael Savage the other day, he was talking about this Madoff case and saying that there's different levels of justice in America, one for poor blacks, and then he didn't go further in explaining.
If I may be so bold as to complete the great Dr. Savage's thought, there's one level of justice for poor blacks, another for poor whites, another for middle class whites and the still another for rich jews. Why is Madoff not locked up in jail? If this was you or me we'd be in Sing-Sing or Attica, not living under "house arrest" in our million dollar mansion.
