Cholera Kills 1700+ In Zimbabwe

A rampant cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe has killed 1,732 people and infected another 34,306, according to an official count from the World Health Organization (WHO) released Tuesday.

The new figured show a spiked increase from statistics released last week, which reported 1,586 dead and 31,656 infected. UN aid agencies warn the impending rainy season could infect as many as 60,000.

Marxist dictator Robert Mugabe declared the cholera crisis over back in early December, then blamed “racist” Britain for practicing germ warfare on the country. Zimbabwe’s infrastructure is also devastated by a staggering 231-million percent inflation rate.

A chorus of world and African leaders have called on Mugabe to step down.
