Not a Skank: Liskula Cohen
A former Australian Vogue cover model is suing Google to help her find the identity of an anonymous blogger who dubbed her “Skankiest in NYC”.
Liskula Cohen was written up in “Skanks In NYC” last August. The apparently African-American blogger with a hip-hop flair is seen posing with several model-types, whom he refers to as “skanks”. He claims several of the pics are of him and Cohen dirty dancing. In other posts, he writes, “She’s a psychotic, lying, whoring, still going to clubs at her age, skank”.
Because the blog is hosted on Google’s Blogger web service, Cohen wants the Internet giant to cough up the real identity of the skank-meister so she can sue him for slander.
Cohen’s lawyer, Steven Wagner, said his client is “very upset” about the cyber slander. “The law protects freedom of speech, including anonymous speech, but it doesn’t protect defamation, and people should not think that they can defame others on the Internet or on blogs by hiding behind a screen name,” he said.
Cohen is no stranger to public controversy. In January 2007, she got into an argument at a NYC club with a man who cut her face open with a broken glass bottle.
“I’m tall, I’m blond, I’ve been modeling for many years, and people get jealous,” Cohen said in her defense. “If I had to deal with everyone who is jealous, I wouldn’t have time to do anything else.”
Google has declined to comment on the suit.
The guy writing the blog is the real skank. He thinks he’s all that? Puh-lease!!!
The best cure for low self-esteem is to take down other people. That guy has major issues with women. He needs to see a shrink.

I can understand being upset over being called a “skank”, but this sounds more like a way to boost her visibility to the public than real outrage or hurt.
Best thing you could do is to just get over it and maybe don’t put yourself in a position to be photographed treating some dude like a jungle gym.

its funny how all you americans are so ignorant…guess thats why the rest of the world just laughs at you. so now after this woman won her lawsuit, and it wasnt about getting paid, or the black guy in the pics wasnt the blogger, do you all feel as stupid as you sound…???
