The University of Denver has scrapped their non-Indian mascot on the grounds he was too white and not sufficiently “diverse”.
The lovable, chubby-cheeked “Boone” was created by Walt Disney in 1968 and represented the University of Denver Pioneers until 1998 for his “lack of gender inclusiveness and the changing image of the university.” A campaign to re-instate Boone as mascot was growing stream, with a recent poll showing 87% wanting to bring back the pudgy pioneer. The campaign’s success prompted the University’s History and Traditions Task Force to put the permanent kibosh on the idea.
“The name ‘Boone’ is linked to Daniel Boone, and to people of Native American ancestry, it’s sensitive because he was part of a movement that pushed Native Americans to the side,” said Monica Kumar, president of the undergraduate student body.
“We are a university that has been very sensitive to diversity and one of our objectives is to be inclusive,” said Miss Kumar, who is on the committee. “And this was an opportunity for us to come together and show our inclusiveness.”
Normally Universities remove mascots for their alleged depictions of non-whites in a derogatory manner. The removal of Boone marks the first time a white character has been removed, but only because it affects “diversity”.

This is yet another attack on White culture! A few years ago, there was a movement to have the ’shamrock’ (4-leafed clover) labeled a “sign of hate” because of it’s association with White heritage. Why is it okay to have pro-black, pro-Latino, pro-everything else, but it’s considered “racist” and “hateful” to even have a white mascot?! There IS a war on white people today folks. You can either go along with it, or fight against it. Isn’t it hypocritical how the people that call themselves “pro-diversity” and “multiculturalists” are the first ones to complain about things being “too White”?! It should be obvious to everyone by now that ‘pro-diversity’ simply means’ anti-white’.
