Samantha Powers
An anti-Israeli activist kicked off the Obama campaign has re-emerged as part of the Obama transition team and is advising future Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, drawing focus on how US foreign policy will take shape in an Obama Administration.
Questions are especially being raised about the appointment since Israel is in the middle of an air bombing campaign against Hamas in Gaza.
Samantha Powers first came to notoriety during the US Presidential election, after she resigned from the Obama campaign for calling Hillary Clinton a “monster” during an interview with The Scotsman. However, Powers’ unusually quick resignation quelled a growing awareness of her views on American policy toward the State of Israel, as seen in this April 2002 interview:
“This should give us some insight into the foreign-policy objectives of Barack Obama,”, writes Ed Morrisey on HotAir.com. “Bear in mind that this interview takes place about seven months after 9/11, when people supposedly still knew how dangerous radical Islamist groups like Hamas and al-Qaeda were. Power wanted to send them money and stop funding Israeli efforts to fight them.”
Obama first contacted Powers to work on his campaign in 2005 after reading the Harvard professor’s book, “A Problem from Hell“, a damning treatise on American foreign policy. Powers has also written
Powers is also an advocate for negotiations with Iran without pre-conditions. In a January op-ed piece for Time entitled “Rethinking Iran” Powers dismisses Bush Administration policy toward Iran as an “incoherence” and claims the incident between a US Naval Ship and five Iranian speed boats was a scare tactic created by the Administration.
Obama Transition officials have so far declined to comment.

Challenge, can anyone prove this wrong?:–
1. Constitution Article II requires USA President to be “natural born citizen”.
2. BHO’s website admits his dad was Kenyan/British, not American, citizen when BHO was born.
3. BHO is therefore not a “natural born citizen” (irrespective of Hawaiian birth or whether he may be a 14th Amendment “citizen” of USA) — as confirmed in the Senate’s own McCain qualification resolution agreed to by BHO.
4. Supreme Court has already docketed two upcoming conferences, 1/9/09 and 1/16/09 — between dates Congress counts electoral votes (1/8/09) and Presidential inauguration (1/20/09) — to address Berg Case and fashion relief on BHO’s eligibility to be President.
5. Since no facts are in dispute, Supreme Court rules on Summary Judgment to enjoin BHO’s inauguration as President.
6. Therefore, BHO is not inaugurated as President.
7. Vice President Elect Biden is inaugurated Acting President under the 20th Amendment to serve until new President is determined — the procedure for which determination to be set out by Congress and/or the Supreme Court so long as in conformance with the Constitution.
