A small group of dedicated Ron Paul supporters have successfully wrestled control of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) in what may mark the beginning of steering the GOP back to its original goals of limited constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, sound monetary policy, Second Amendment rights, strong national defense, a non-interventionist foreign policy, personal freedom, and opposition to illegal immigration.
While outgoing RPLAC Chairman Linda Boyd allegedly supported these real Republican platforms, the party had languished under her 6-year rule: Only 13 of the 26 Assembly Districts were open, fund raising was lackluster and poorly allocated, and candidates were not being properly fielded. The result: Republicans were losing the majority of elections.
The coalition of Ron Paul supporters, calling themselves the Freedom Force, took many grassroots efforts to effect change. 29 out of 40 of their candidates won offices on the Central Committee, and an additional 14 won through write-in ballot.
New RPLAC Chairman Glen Forsch has pledged in a press release to return the party to core GOP values, and find candidates who “will carry the message of freedom, prosperity, and peace”. CFR members will not looked favorably upon.

It was most excellent. The biggest challenge will be rebuilding the party’s reputation which is a shambles while weaning people off the neo-con positions that have recently defined the party. At least people with truly conservative values will be welcome and not browbeaten and excluded. Next step is to run solid candidates of integrity. Any takers?!

This is Awesome news! Everyone who supports this effort needs to educate themselves and get involved. The best place to start is in your counties Republican Executive Committee. You need to find their website, call them on the phone and apply for membership. We came really close to electing a new Chairman here in Orange County Florida. Remember, Freedom is Popular.

How can you get back to something you never were in the first place? Ever heard of honest abe? The very first major republican? About the only point on that list I can tell he was on board with was national defense and that was more along the lines of national offense.
