Zimbabwe’s unchecked cholera outbreak has now officially killed more than 1500 people, reports the World Health Organization. Unofficial accounts put the death toll much higher.
Despite Marxist dictator Robert Mugabe’s insistence that the threat from cholera has been checked, WHO reports the water-borne disease is rampant in all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe. Mugabe has also blamed “racist” Great Britain for using germ warfare to create the outbreak.
The cholera outbreak has spread into neighboring South Africa, where the province of Limpopo has been declared a disaster area.
A growing chorus of world, regligous and African leaders have called for Mugabe to step down from power in Zimbabwe.
