“Leave South Africa”: Anti-Apartheid Activist

Breyten Breytenbach

Breyten Breytenbach

A far-left activist who campaigned against the Apartheid government of South Africa now says, “if you can stand the loss, leave South Africa”.

Breyten Breytenbach, who first began campaigning against Apartheid after marrying a French woman of Vietnamese ancestry in the 1960′s, writes a damning condemnation of the ruling ANC’s mismanagement of South Africa in his latest article for Harper’s titled “Mandela’s Smile: Notes of South Africa’s failed revolution“. Among other criticisms, Breytenbach blames the ruling party for the implosion of South Africa’s health, education and security systems.

Although the Harper’s article is accessible to subscribers only, internet postings quote Breytenbach as saying, “If a young South African were to ask me whether he or she should stay or leave, my bitter advice would be to go. For the foreseeable future now, if you want to live your life to the full, and with some satisfaction and usefulness, and you can stand the loss – then go!”

In addition to being regarded as “South Africa’s most important poet of the sixties“, Breytenbach also teaches creative writing at New York University and works for African think tank The Goree Institute.

Odd when you think about it. He got what he wanted and now he is complaining. He wanted a black South Africa for all those years. 14 years after getting it – he does not like it.

Did he not look at Africa before. Africa is only good at begging.

This White Commie SOB sold us down the drain and now comes up with this “solution”. Didn’t he know that:

Separate Development (Apartheid) was created to protect
Whites from the chaos of Black majority rule

    Blacks can’t Govern – period!!
They stuff up everything, the whole of africa for that matter, and it’s total destruction, wars, famine, poverty, begging and begging from the west, wars, ethnic cleansing, dictatorships,
looting, robbing, rape, exploitation, corruption – all destructive ways to destroy a country.

Only in Africa can somebody kick a farmer of his land and then
leave the farm to rot and then start complaining about hunger.

Africa is a continent of irresponsible savages!

His brother was Col. Jan Breytenbach, leader of the famous 22nd Battalion that fought the left on the battlefield.

    Weird…

Well the thing is in africa "apartheid" was an african solution to an african problem. South africa is in EXACTLY in the same position as zims was 7 years ago RIGHT NOW TODAY! after just 15 years they have absolutly ruined South africa.

South Africa will be even in a worse off position than Zims and you guessed right, they will blame it on apartheid, like its brittons fault that Zims has reverted to their so called famous ruins "zimbabwe" after all it was a ruin when the arabs were exploiting it. Britton on the other hand was never ever in the state of zimbabwe

But perhaps sienners prophecies will come true, thank God AIDS is here, its the real solution to barbaric nations.

South Africans better wake up now and take back with FORCE as the africans have taken from us,

    Thanks, Breyten.

Your comments are as useful as warnings in a submarine ejection seat manual. Some of us could spot the problem with the concept before trying it out first…
