In a surprise move, a high-ranking Zanu-PF official inhabiting a farm owned by a German farming company has been forcibly evicted by police, the result of a Zimbabwe High Court ruling from Nov. 19.
German farming company N & N Farming (Pvt) Ltd successfully argued that a bilateral agreement between the Zimbabwe and German governments protected its land in Figtree, Matabeleland South Province from illegal expropriation by the Mugabe Regime.
Ruling Justice Mavangira declared the property was under the legal protection of the Zimbabwe Constitution, and the Mugabe Regime had not “competently and validly acquired” the property under its racist land-grabs beginning in 2002.
The Zimbabwe DA and 12 armed officers stormed the illegally-occupied farm and evicted Zanu-PF deputy political commissar Richard Ndlovu and “war vets” Leonard Nzima and Esthel Ndebel, and dumped them along the Bulawayo- Plumtree highway.
“On the day of the eviction, the DA had met the local traditional leadership from the area and they had unanimously agreed that Ndlovu and the war veterans were staying on the farm illegally,” an officer was took part in the eviction said.
An angry Ndlovu later replied, “I am going back to my farm and stop wasting my time”. Ndlovu, who was not in court to respond to the ruling, said he would now appeal the decision.
The court ruling is the second legal setback for the Mugabe Regime. Back in late November, a Southern Africa regional court in Namibia ruled in favor of 72 White Zimbabwean farmers who claimed the Mugabe regime had illegally expropriated their farms simply because they are White.
