Hillary Clinton has emerged as a possible candidate for the position of Secretary of State in the upcoming Obama Administration. Clinton’s office has confirmed the New York Senator has flown to Chicago on “personal business”.
The selection of Clinton for Secretary of State would mark a stance more hawkish than what Obama portrayed during the campaign. Clinton famously said she would “obliterate” Iran if the rogue nation attempted to attack Israel during one debate.
Clinton did not rule out a position in the Obama Administration Monday night, saying, “I want to be a good partner and I want to do everything I can to make sure his agenda is going to be successful”.
Obama has chosen many members from Bill Clinton’s administration for his transition team, including Rahm Emanuel for White House Chief of Staff. Vice President-elect Joe Biden has appointed former Clinton administration aide Ran Klain as his chief of staff.
