Police in Pen Argyl, PA have arrested a member of The Guardian Angels for allegedly assaulting a teenage boy during a local high school bonfire party.
Police would not give any details other than the Angel allegedly tackled the teenager at about 7:30pm during the party, which took place behind the Turkey Hill convenience store on Route 51. Police are still interviewing eyewitnesses. Hundreds reportedly attended the prep rally for Saturday’s Pen Argyl Area and Bangor Area football game. Pen Argyl Area High School Principal John Smith said neither the Guardian Angel nor the teen was a student of either school district.
Joseph Yamrus, leader of the Slate Belt Chapter of the Guardian Angels that formed in June 2007 with nine members, declined to give any details other than “I think we were in the right.”
