Local Florida TV news WFTV Channel 9 has discovered 1,636 registered voters in Central Florida are actually deceased, and ballots have been cast in their names for several years after their deaths.
Relatives of the deceased report getting the names removed from Social Security records is easier than removing them from the state voting registration.
Efforts are underway to make the process of removing the deceased from Florida voter records but this will take some time.
