Democrat Rep. John Murtha, still recovering from calling his white constituents in Western Pennsylvania “racist” last week, has now slammed those same voters as “redneck“.
Murtha made the anti-white racial slur while trying to explain last week’s fop aux to WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh.
Republican Bill Russell, who is challenging Murtha for his seat this November, blasted the liberal Democrat. “It shows once again how much he has lost touch with our constituents,” Russell said. “A lot of people are ticked off. It’s just one more issue that is ticking off a lot of our constituents and why so many of them feel it is time for a change.”
