In a poll of its readers, political website Congress.org has put GOP presidential candidate John McCain over his Democrat Party rival, Barack Obama, 48.6% to 39.3%. Additionally, votes broken down into battleground states show McCain leading Obama handily.
The stunning result flies in the face of a new CNN poll that shows McCain continuing to lose ground to Obama in the key states Pennsylvania, Florida, and the Republican stronghold Colorado.
Congress.org describes itself as a “private, non-partisan companies that specialize in facilitating civic participation”. The website also notes that regular polling does not reflect people who will definetly vote and those using Congress.org are much more likely to vote in elections, giving its poll a more accurate take on the political landscape.
It is also expected that Obama supporters will somehow manipulate or destroy the accuracy of this online poll once word gets out of its current result.
