Despite an upturn in recent polls for Barack Hussein Obama, John McCain and Sarah Palin have drawn 4,000 more people in a recent rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
In an effort to boost his rating in the battleground state, Obama held a rally in the Resch Center arena next to Lambeau Field. The event drew 6,000. McCain/Palin drew 10,000 in a rally at the same arena a week before.
Obama campaign managers say the smaller turnout was because Obama held his rally on Monday at noon, compared to a Thursday night rally for McCain/Palin.
Wisconsin borders Illinois, where Obama is Senator. The state was narrowly won by Democrats in 2000 and 2004.
