An openly-liberal professor in Denver, Colorado is being investigated for using his classroom to indoctrinate his students with his political beliefs.
Metro State College professor Andrew Hallam gave students a writing assignment: to write an essay contradicting what he called the ‘fairy tale image of Palin’ presented at the Republican National Convention.
“I was shocked, I was holy cow, this is just an open door for him to discuss politics with us,” said student Jana Barber.
Metro State spokeswoman Cathy Lucas said Hallam should have opened the assignment to include all political figures. He has now revised the assignment.
Hallam is also charged with singling out Republican students and openly mocking them in class.
Metro State officials are investigating claims of bias, harassment and bullying.

Regarding Prof. Hallam, it is obvious that he is so committed to his beliefs that he must be slapped on the hand by superiors and change the nature of his assignment. Hallam, how typical of a "yellow-bellied" liberal(or as an English teacher have you not read that book yet). When push comes to shove, you run and scurry along in the grass because you are left weaponless against the people of real authority no longer able to bully your students whom you perceive as weak, young and ignorant. A less cowardly person would have quit on principle. But since you won't quit you should be fired because you are too stupid to know what your role as a teacher is. When you go away, have time to grow up, be reflective, live a little and gain some wisdom, maybe then you will have earned the RIGHT to teach. And regarding the student who mocked his PEERS with foul language-you belong together, one with no intelligence leading one with no vocabulary.
