Democrat Rep. Son Named In Palin E-mail Hacking

The son of Tennesse State Representative Mike Kernell (D) has been named as a key figure in yesterday’s hacking of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin’s e-mail account.

Rep. Kernell confirmed that his 20-year old son David is the subject of Internet speculation about the scandal. The Democrat Party member says he does not know where his son is right now.

The hacking was first blamed on Anonymous, an Internet-anarchist group known mostly for its war on Scientology. A member of Anonymous denied the group’s involvement to writer Michelle Malkin. “The perpetrator(s) were not members of an infamous group of hackers[....] Sarah Palin’s email [sic] account was hacked by one person. Not a group,” writes Anonymous, who then reposts the Internet confession of the person who hacked Gov. Palin’s Yahoo account.

The Secret Service and FBI have launched an investigation of the hacking.
